About The Wine Box

Introduction
The Wine Box is an exciting new wine retail shop which also holds in-store and external wine tastings. It has monthly offers on different products with wines open every day for you to try for free! You can order in the shop directly or online at thewinebox.uk and delivery is free within 20 miles of the shop.

Background
Paul and Leanne are the dynamic duo that run the Wine Box. Their aim is to bring the wine-lovers of Torbay together by holding amazing tasting events in the store and out in the community, so if you know of a place where a wine tasting could be held then why not get in touch with them today?

Manager
Paul Firman has worked in wine retail in the South West for over 15 years. He is passionate about wine and spirits.
‘’The aim of the Wine Box and Gin Nest is to offer something different to South Devon. We sell such an exciting product and rather than just tell people how great wine and spirits are we want to encourage people to experience as many different flavours and tastes as possible’’

A big football and rugby fan, he also loves to spend time enjoying Devon with his faithful friend Pip the Labradoodle.


Assistant Manager
Leanne Engdahl is a local resident of Torquay who has experience in hospitality and wine retail management. This includes working in South London as Assistant Manager of several wine retail shops where she gained her WSET level 3 in Wine & Spirits.
Outside of work she has a keen interest in wildlife and the environment, having gained a Bachelor’s degree and Masters degree in environmental subjects. She does voluntary dormouse box checks to help monitor their population and also volunteers as Chair of her local community partnership. She absolutely loves wines which are made using sustainable methods and have a lower environmental impact.

In store
The Wine Box hosts two tastings a month at just £10 per person. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for upcoming events. These events are a great opportunity for you to meet other wine-lovers in Torbay. To book any of the in-store events please call or email the Wine Box.
